Marathon Pace Calculator & Running Analytics

Analyze your running pace and compare it with marathon legends. This tool calculates your potential finish time for 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, and Full Marathon (42.195km).

Pace Zones

Understanding your pace zones is critical for marathon training. From "Easy Run" to "VO2 Max" intervals, our calculator helps you find the right speed.

This tool calculates the marathon (42.195km) converted record based on your input Pace (or Record) and shows the Gap (Time/%) vs Standard (Age/Gender adjusted World Record Pace). The Gap is a 'standardized indicator' for performance understanding. Actual results may vary by course, weather, altitude, or treadmill conditions. We recommend measuring 2-3 times on the same device/environment and using the median/average.

① Measurement Target & Definition

Target: Marathon converted record based on input pace & Gap vs Standard
Gap Definition: Time/Percent difference vs Standard (Age/Gender adjusted World Record Pace)
Limits: Actual results vary by course, weather, condition, etc. Not for official certification.

② Formulas & Grade Criteria

  • Converted Record: Pace × 42.195km
  • Gap Ratio(%): ((Your Time - World Record) / World Record) × 100
  • Grade/Tier: Based on gap ratio intervals (lower is better). Actual intervals managed by criteria doc.

③ Result Interpretation

  • Completion Goal: If gap is large, prioritize endurance (Zone 2) over speed.
  • Improvement (Intermediate): Gap reduction signals switch from 'Endurance → Efficiency'.
  • High Speed (Advanced): Burden increases properly. Limit hard training + prioritize recovery.
  • Large Deviation: Use median of 3 measurements under same conditions.

④ Improvement Routine (Rec)

7 Days (Beginner)

Zone2 Jog x3 (30-45m) + Tempo x1 (20m) + Strength/Core x1

14 Days (Intermediate)

Zone2 x4 (45-70m) + Interval x1 + Tempo x1 + Strength x1-2

⑤ FAQ

Q. Is treadmill meaningful?
A. Yes, but differs from outdoors. Repeated measurement recommended.
Q. Mobile/PC results differ.
A. Hardware differences cause lag. Compare trends on same device.
